Miriyawalé (Bambara language) means

Think & Act

Stichting Miriyawalé (The Netherlands) and NGO Miriyawalé (Mali) work together to support Malian children and youngsters to grow up and develop themselves despite the unfavorable conditions they live in. Miriyawalé uses a social cultural methodology.

This site is made to inform and activate the visitor. We like to establish a connection. Feel free to look around and comment. There are photo’s, films, annual reports, music, project plans and more. Maybe you like to visit our webshop. You can also donate or fundraise for Miriyawalé within your school, work or neighbourhood. Although Miriyawalé performs miracles with little money we can’t do without. We are a professional organization but we do work with vulonteers; Malian and foreigners, yougsters, students and seniors. If you’r interested to become one, fill in the application form and send it to Miriyawale.

  1. Hi Janet,

My name is Karen .. I learned about you yesterday from the Dutch woman, Simone, and I have also known Marja since 12 years!! But I did not learn about you until yesterday..

I am American and have lived in Bamako since 2000 and grown my travel agency .. I would like to start offering a volunteer tourism trip to Mali and I myself would also like to volunteer a couple weeks or one month every year during our slow season (April-July) .. I don’t know my exact timeline but wanted to ask if you think I could help at your project for a couple of weeks or month and we can also discuss possibilities about my tourists supporting your project and/or also volunteering at your project .. I also can add your project to our list of projects that we support and hopefully raise a little money for you from time to time .. my phone number is 7621 5079 and my email address is above .. I look forward to talking to you .. incidently my Malien boyfriend also died suddenly in May 2007 .. I was so sad to hear about your husband .. I look forward to hearing from you, best regards, Karen
